About Lisa

I have spent my life in the general area of historic Concord, Massachusetts. As a child I lived in the neighboring town of Sudbury and would often come over for long walks and ice cream in Concord Center with my parents. In 1995 my husband and I settled into a small 1897 home in Concord. This being our first home we were eager to gut and renovate it back to its former self, a long and loving process we had the energy and optimism to undertake… pre-children.
Last year with our two girls (4 and 6 at the time) we moved to the adjacent Town of Carlisle, Ma. We moved to Carlisle for its rural character, open fields and all around idyllic nature. It has one wonderful shop in the Town Center…Fern’s Country Store. So, as my daughter would say, “Carlisle is our Village, Mom and Concord is our Town”.
Updated bi-weekly, The Concord Life website goes beyond the travel guides to see the beauty of Concord, Ma and surrounding communities through the eyes of a long-time area resident and her two young daughters. The Concord Life takes a comfortable stroll through a town committed to preservation of natural resources and man-made treasures, dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, while serving up a dose of daily life in a place where Main Street thrives and contributions of the past and present are celebrated.
Lisa Flavin’s “The Concord Life” is a Destination Blogsite. Its subscribers are an ever widening group of individuals for whom Concord represents a way of life. The readership is active, committed and growing. The Concord Life is becoming the “Go To” site for the Concord, Massachusetts Visitor.
